AKO Autism Expo

The AKO Autism Expo will be opening its doors again this year to offer support and information on Autism and its related conditions. Open on March 11th from 9am-5.30am at Brunel University, Uxbridge, London, the show provides a unique opportunity to meet like-minded people, share stories and talk to an Autism expert in one of the clinics.

Set up by Anna Kennedy Online – a charity dedicated to promoting the inclusion and equality of children and adults with autism spectrum condition throughout society – the show aims to support and inform as many families and carers’ as possible. The charity promotes its mission of disability equality by developing and sponsoring training, by raising awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities and also by its advocacy efforts with, and on behalf of, people with an autism spectrum condition.

Home From Home Care will be exhibiting at the event to showcase its specialist residential provision for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Founder Ann de Savary will be on the stand to share her personal experience of the world of care, and the transition into adult services, as a mother of a 38-year-old daughter with learning disabilities.
